FEATURES
Celestite is strontium sulphate, although Strontium can sometimes be substituted for Barium. Its name derives from the Latin "coelestis", meaning "celestial", referring to its light blue colour. The most familiar colour is blue, but there are also white, yellow, red, green and light brown. Its crystals are flat and have a glassy lustre. It is found in hydrothermal veins and in sedimentary rocks. The most important deposits of Celestite are in Madagascar
